Making Every Moment Count

We believe that it is essential that service users have access to a range of opportunities regardless of their support needs. Activities are tailored to suit the individual person, it may be having a spa day, or walking the dog or just having somebody to talk to.

We offer a wide range of activities. Some examples include email, skype, gardening, baking and board games.

Email & Skype

All service users have access to their own e-mail and skype to ensure that they can communicate easily with their families when they choose and have access to new technology such as iPads, and infra-red hearing assited technology.

DarceyDog Walking Club

The home has two dogs, Honey Bee (Pictured at the top of the page) and Darcey (Right) our newest edition who is a chihuahua puppy. Many service users enjoy having the interaction with the pets who provide interest and enhance wellbeing.

Gardening Club

We also have extensive gardens that you and your visitors are able to use and plant herbs and plants throughout the year. Regular outside entertainers visit the home. Information on what's going on in the home is available on the notice boards, located throughout the home.

External Activites

We have a mini bus, that can be used for outings to shops, or local attractions. Previous outings have been to places such as Burns Cottage, Troon Sea Front, or a drive round the Coastal area. You may have a particular place you would like to suggest we visit. All outings are planned with Service users and conducted in very small groups of three or four service users at any one time.
